I plan to attend De Anza community college and transfer to UCB, UC Davis, UC Irvine or cal poly.
I am not the best at physics and dropped out of AP chemistry because it was too hard. (I got an A in regular chemistry though and my physics teacher was terrible). I took AP computer science this year and second semester was definently harder (arrays, recursion).
First of all should I attend West Valley college instead (semester vs quarter), given my anxiety about science classes?
I am most concerned about not being able to transfer until 3 years into college. I would like to transfer within 2 years, so any tips on how to make this process easier for me?
I want to take "fun" classes this summer; I tried to prioritize it by those that count as GE credit.
Summer 2017:
-public speaking (5 units)
-web development (3) [Hybrid class]
-principles of microeconomics (4) [online]
-intro to creative writing (3) [online]
~maybe: boxing at west valley(1 unit), accounting 1 (5?, online), nutritional studies (3 units, online)
Fall 2017
-EWRT 1 or 1Honors
-Calculus 1A
-Astronomy+lab or chemistry 1A (so I can get my biological GE out of the way+I'm interested In astronomy)
-Java Programming 35A (or 36A or 36B)
-Mandarin 1 (I might skip to Mandarin 2 because I took Mandarin in HS. I also want to receive a Mandarin certificate of Achievement, which only requires 6 quarters of Mandarin & 1 history course).
-chamber orchestra (I really want to get better at playing violin & this is only 1 day/week. But idk if I will need to practice a lot besides lab time since lt is 2-3 hours.
Winter 2018:
- EWRT 1B or 2?
-Calc 2
-chemistry 1A + lab
- a programming class
-Mandarin 2
-chamber orchestra
Spring 2018:
-Calculus 3

Is this schedule possible? I am mostly focused on summer & fall 2017 right now.
Obviosuly nothing is final and I need a few more classes towards my GE & my specific major.
I don't think I would be able to work during this time sadly.
How time should I except to spend towards each class?
Thank you so much for your time! :)
