Hey everyone! Couldn't find a thread like this, so I'ma kick this one open! This thread is to help out one-year transfer students to the UCs (to help answer each other's questions and possible concerns).
I'm aware that traditionally, it takes two-years to transfer to a UC. But a lot of students enter their freshman year at CC as sophomores now 'days with AP credits, or lots of dual CC credit (or both). For example, of my group of six friends I entered CC with, four of us are doing it in one year! Three of us came in with substantial AP units, and the fourth took 60 units during high school and all of his pre-reqs for Poli-Sci (all four of us are Poli-Sci) and is now taking a year off for internships.
I'm a student at Moorpark College
I applied to Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, and UCSB.
My major is Political Science.
My Fall GPA is a 4.0 in 15 units.
Major ECs include: founder and president of my school's third largest club, camp counselor, creative writing specialist all summer at a local Jewish summer camp, and that I write lots of screenplays (4).
My PS was rated 9/10 by a UCLA rep.
IGETC: will be completed.
Prereqs: done for SD and Berkeley. Will be done for UCLA. Missing microecon for SB.
APs: 29.4 units. Summer: 0 units. Fall: 15 units. Spring: 18.5 units.
Anyone else one-year? Post your stats! It could also potentially help future applicants, because it could show that it's possible.
