I really need some help with maximum transfer units

Okay so I apologize that this will be quite long, but I'm not sure what to do and my counselors keep giving me conflicting information. I previously attended UCSB and then transferred to a community college with 10.7 units 4 years later. (I didn't do well and ran out of money.) I was told that none of those units would transfer to CC classes except the English one (got a c- which doesn't transfer to UC) so they wouldn't be counted toward my GPA. Another counselor told me they would be counted though. Does anyone know if that GPA will? I currently have a 4.0 at CC but had about a 2.0 at UCSB. I also retook that English class, so I'm wondering if when I transfer they will still count the full 10.7 units plus the English class or subtract that English class from the 10.7 because I retook it. Now to the tough part. I'm a psychology major going into biological psychology (eventually hoping to go into neuropsychology). I would like to transfer to UCD. My first counselor told me to go for my associates first, so I took two classes (Bio psych and currently taking psych of aging) that apply to an associates but not transfer requirements. What she didn't tell me was that they apply to an associates for a CSU and that I actually didn't need them for a psych transfer to UC. My next counselor showed me on assist the classes I would need to transfer as a biopsych major to UCD. Doing research on my own, with my 10.7 transfer units (not subtracting for the repeated English class because idk if they'll do that) and the units UC applicable I've already taken/and am currently taking, and the units I need for transfer as that major that puts me at 83.7. Now I've read that you cannot be over 80. So I'm wondering if A) those English units will get wiped off since I retook the class (subtracting 2 or so) and B) if I should withdraw with a W from my psych of aging class to subtract an extra 3 units to put me below my 80 unit limit. I just keep getting different answers from different people so I don't know what to do. I know a W looks bad (an kills me knowing how well I've done so far) but I'm thinking I may have to do it.
