GPA AND GRADES FOR UCI AND UCLA

hello, i am an english major and currently wanting to do college applications by FALL 2020. the GPA i want to aim for and will probably be there is at 3.5 GPA by the end of SUMMER 2019. however, I do have a 3 C's, 2 F's (completed by AR and a repeated course from (a science) in previous semesters. Would I be able to get into UCI as a TAG or UCLA with a 3.5 despite it? All of my english required courses are an "A" and one history is a "B" thank you
