Title. I am trying to transfer for cs, and through a cross-enrollment program at my community college, I was able to take the entire 61ABC series at UC Berkeley. While I'm sure Berkeley will recognize the courses, how will the other UCs respond? I ask because I took these courses in lieu of the ones some UCs recommended on assist. For example, instead of taking a data structures class at my community college, I took 61B, the data structures class at Berkeley, as I figured I would learn much more. Will this reflect poorly on my application, as I did not take the specific courses listed on assist?
I guess this question generalizes more to anyone transferring from non-California Community Colleges, where the UCs might not have readily available information about the courses offered at those institutions. How are those applicants evaluated?
