Hello guys, I am planning to transfer to UC Davis for Managerial Economics. Right now I am at Community College and I have already opted to take a Humanities class (4 Qtr Units) with P/NP (Pass or No Pass) grading for Art requirement for GE. I am also planning to take a Public Speaking class (5 Qtr. Units) and a Philosophy class (4 Qtr. Units) with P/NP as well. This would be a total of 13 quarter units taken as P/NP. I figured that there is no way I can earn A's in those classes (I have a 4.0 GPA right now).
For the Humanities and Philosophy classes, they are for IGETC or General Education.
However, for the Public Speaking class, it is a Major Preparation course, but on UC Davis' Catalogue it said that you must earn a C or a P or above in Public Speaking: https://ucdavis.pubs.curricunet.com/Catalog/managerial-economics
If I do go ahead with this plan, will these courses count towards the IGETC certification or GE? Will doing this look bad when I transfer?
Thanks!
